VOGUE THEATRE MIDNIGHT SEANCE FUNDRAISER

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Max Fischer, proprietor of the All Star Cafe' at the Knickerbocker Hotelin Hollywood, also known for his annual sell-out "Houdini Seances", will lend his talents to a special fundraising 'Midnight Seance' at theVogue Theatre, 6675 Hollywood Boulevard on Saturday, March 10, 2001.

The Vogue Theatre, internationally famous for it's active hauntings, documented by the International Society for Paranormal Research (ISPR®) since the summer of 1997, has suffered a great deal of deterioration since the Spring of 1992, when Mann Theatres shut the doors to the former movie palace. Individuals associated with the ISPR have contributed close to $100,000 dollars to help restore the two story building, but more money and work is necessary. Proceeds from the Midnight Seance with Max Fischer will go directly to fund the Vogue Theatre.

According to Max Fischer, air conditioning and marquee refurbishing are just a couple of the jobs at the top of the list. "To date, there hasn't been any corporate or community funds to help the individuals involved in saving this historic Hollywood landmark. So much money is being spent on building new in Hollywood, so I'm thrilled to be able to help raise money to keep an original Hollywood Theatre alive and kicking. The Vogue is haunted with very active and communicative ghosts, and known for sell-out Ghost Expeditions®, so I can't think of a more perfect place for a Midnight Seance".

According to Vogue Theatre officials, a great deal of plans are in the works to keep the Vogue alive on Hollywood Boulevard. The ISPR will contribute by offering a series of psychic workshops by professional intuitives who normally work with police agencies. A band of Hollywood projectionists will be bringing independent screenings to the Vogue; the second largest screen on Hollywood Boulevard. Bruce St. Martin's Vogue Theatre Actors' Co-op is offering new classes for actors, writers, directors and technical professionals. There are even rumors of the All Star Cafe' taking up new residence inside the Vogue Theatre. According to Max Fischer, "...it depends on what the ghosts have to say on March 10th, but I'm certain they will be excited at the thought of daily visitors."

Reservations for the Vogue Theatre "Midnight Seance" with Max Fischer are suggested but not mandatory. Reservations can be made by calling the Vogue Theatre Hotline at 323.962.1599. The ticket price is $45 per person with reservations, $50 at the door the night of the event. The Vogue Theatre box office opens at 11:00 P.M. on March 10th, doors open at 11:30 P.M. The Vogue Theatre is situated between Las Palmas and Cherokee, next door to Musso & Frank Grill. Convenient parking is available.
