Internet Ghost Club Members Terrorize Haunted House Owner In New Orleans

The ISPR has been informed that three members of an internet
ghost club claiming to do 'paranormal research', have disrupted the
hauntings of Southern Nights Bed & Breakfast in New Orleans, by
performing witchcraft and voodoo rituals in the house without the
prior knowledge of the owner, Judy Garwood.

The ISPR has been retained to conduct a thorough investigation of
events and the the persons responsible. Currently, although the
offer still stands by the ISPR in conjunction with Southern Nights
B&B, neither party can now claim the paranormal activity within the
house is not malevolent. Caution is advised to anyone interested in
staying at Southern Nights as the activity may prove to be intense.

When the ISPR establishes exactly who is responsible for these
deplorable actions, the names of the individuals as well as the
organization will be posted.

On January 29, 2000, ISPR Parapsychologist received the following
letter from Ms. Garwood:

Dear Dr. Montz,

I need your help. Things have gotten so out of hand that I am
turning to you to help me. This used to be a happy house. As you
found in 1996, I had ghosts, but they were kind, not aggressive
ones. Guests used to like staying here. It's not that way anymore. It
started last fall. I had some guests stay here (I know now that two
own some vampire/ghost tour in the Quarter and the other is an
author - the one that wrote Anne Rice's biography, and they all
belong to some internet ghost club - ighs). I now know of their
reputations, but honestly Dr. Montz, I had no knowledge of what
they were planning to do in my home since it was just the author
that contacted me and I didn't know that those other two were with
her, and you know how early I retire in the evening, I just didn't
know what was going on) and the day they left, actually just a few
hours after they left, I found out that they had been performing
rituals that I'm not familiar with and invoked some very bad entities
to come into the house. Rebecca, who you worked with on that AOL
promotion a few years back, was staying here at the same time and
saw them. Since she is Wiccan, she recognized some of the rituals,
the others, she said were probably voodoo. She told me a little
about what they had done, told me I better let you know so you
could help and then she left right after that. My Spanish speaking
housekeeper also told me about it. She said she had heard them
when she was on the second floor, on the guest side, taking care of
the other rooms. It frightened her so bad she quit right on the spot!
I didn't tell you sooner because you warned me about letting
amateur 'ghost hunters' in the house a long time ago but the author
woman wasn't honest with me! After that things started happening.
Really bad things. I was going down the stairs from the second floor
guest rooms and something unseen hit me so hard I fell. Luckily I
was holding the handrail so I only ended up twisted to one side and
on my knees on the steps, but if I hadn't been holding on I would
have gone right down the stairs to the bottom.

Before the bad entities moved in I used to have guests tell me they
could hear whispering in the air, gentle whispering. Now there is
something violent that will shout right next to your ear when you
have your head turned the opposite way. It shouts something in a
very violent way. It's a vicious sound. It's a series of garbled words.
It makes me shiver.

Whatever those people did when they were here invited something
really bad into my bed and breakfast. At first I just started to lose a
little money because guests would check in and after one night get
so scared they would leave. On their way out they would tell me
that something scared them the night before and they don't want to
stay in the house any longer. There's such a heavy, evil presence in
the air I can't even talk positively about the ghosts because I know
Cecilia and Katie are not here anymore. And in their place are some
really dark entities that scare me to death. I know my guests sense
that immediately. Rooms that before the guests used to tell me
were so comfortable now I have guests come down in the morning
and tell me they were up all night, slept badly, could have sworn
there was something in the room with them.

Something wakes me up two or three times a night. I hear
someone call my name, not sweetly like before, but angry and
cruel, like they are really trying to conjole me out of the place
where I am hiding but I know that if I come out something horrible
is going to happen to me. I turn on the light and something in the
room has been moved. A chair is not where I had placed it. Clothes
I had put away are out and thrown over the chair. And I sleep so
badly I get up at 4 AM, sometimes earlier.

I need the ISPR team to come back and help me.
